The question becomes how would a President Barack Obama, other presidential candidates and the Congressional Black Caucus address deliberate inaction on the part of the Jamaican goverment regarding victimization of so many of its own citizens who are living in fear.
A specific plan is surely required to respond and act to address worldwide assaults upon Same Gender Loving people post an era of overt discrimination and denigration perpetrated by the Bush "Administration" which has
sought and crafted political tools designed to further divide an entire Diaspora.
Given Senator Obama's apparent comfort with representatives of the Jamaican goverment (above), and with his being spiritually guided, it is most appropriate that he start right now forging a meaningful dialogue on these matters given so many lives and livelihoods are at stake.
Will the Senator practice what is right and fair, or will he keep politically silent in the interest of his campaign thereby nourishing and supporting widespread discrimination and danger.
IN THE MEANTIME, Gareth - the representative of J Flag who is the young man who was allegedly beaten by police during this incident is in great danger and needs monitary funds to assist him right away. He has been promised on a wing and a prayer that fair minded people in this country will send him finanical help within the next week.
If you would like to offer your support - you can send gifts toward helping him in any amount, (from $1.00 to $100. and beyond) by contacting Kimya Ayodele at
