Fourth Grade Truths (Sister Girl to Woman Knowledge)

Women's History Final Exam
("A" Paper)

3-22-06

I Women in pre-history were seen as holy because the women could do something the men can't - and that certain thing (was to) give birth.

Women were also seen as goddesses.

Men had to go in a temple to worship women. Men and women had different roles but were equal.

II The "Fall of Man" changed the society's view of women for example (with) creations stories and myths like like Adam and Eve. (For example) Adam came first and Eve came from Adam's rib.

A myth also changed the view like Nadosa and Pandora's box.

Some fathers raised their sons to be misogonysts. Men became patriarchal, and men saw women in a negative way.

Excellent job.

(parentheticals added for clarity)

Please note: Women were considered holy because of the beauty of their capacity to give birth and the cultural excellence they produced through their offspring, not because of any obligation.
