NOT ABOUT "THE BENJAMINS"

(A Proposal For "Black Faces and Places" on U.S. Currency)

We take for granted not seeing Black faces and places on all kinds of things, including our currency. Imagine how uplifting and emotionally rewarding it is to see people who look just like you on your dollar bills in your daily transactions.

That constant affirmation keeps you feeling that you - and people just like you are more plugged in with the economic vision and scope of the country.

The extent to which that is rewarding is the similar measure to which subconscious despair is experienced by those who must see the faces of everyone but themselves on their cash (and everything else).

We engage from prayer to positive thinking to bring us money for our expenses. Maybe envisioning Black faces on our currency might lift our expectations, enhance how we envision our position and strength that we might go about doing even greater things.

Maybe this Democratic Congress can propose the end of several hundred years of all Euro-faced money by suggesting people other than Presidents ought to grace U.S. bills. They might also loosen things up with some deeper richer colors so when we're able to lay our hands on some money, we can have our colorful faces surrounded by deep, rich, more exciting aesthetic.

Perhaps having "Black Face" on U.S. Currency will transform weak cultural knowledge and reverse the propensity of racist entertainers who have recently begun to reintroduce "Minstrel Shows" and other racist, extremist, exploitive, denigrating, abusive, red-neck, scandalous, White supremacist, nazi-like, modes of entertainment.

In the meantime, feel free to visit Terryhowcott.com to get an occasional dose of beautiful Black Face:
